A poem by Esperanza hand written on a good pencil sketch of a Mayan prince. I dont know what this is. Maybe a souvenir of a museum exhibit. The poem of course is from Esperanza, New York 1947. I have a negative, not the original. translation iffy.
Boca dulce, risueña,
si de un dulce reis,
fuisteis la dueńa.
Por qué no alentais más
y estais perdida?
Por qué os dejó la vida?
Boca dulce, risueña.
Sweet mouth, smiling,
if of a sweet laugh,
you were the owner,
Why don't you encourage more
and you are lost?
Why did life leave you?
Sweet mouth, smiling.
